rightmove Fixer aims to make finding your home easier by automatically highlighting words and phrases that might be a deal breaker or deal maker for you. It also makes it extremely clear if a property is an auction, and gives you the ability to remove auctions from search results. When checking a property listing the extension also gives the option to check crime stats, copying the property’s address to the clipboard.

Avoid Deceptive Listings
Depending on your price bracket, you might find yourself swamped in listings that aren’t what they seem. Avoid the disappointment of finding out that a potential dream home is only for cash buyers or is an auction property that hasn’t been listed clearly.

Highlight Red Flags
Spot potential issues with a property immediately. Red highlights are applied to many common issues with buying and renting, including leasehold or shared ownership, where continued rent has to be paid, indicators of tenanted properties, where the listing is intended for landlords, park and holiday homes, that you can’t actually live in, financial issues, such as specifically cash only properties or indicators that a house isn’t mortgageable.

Highlight Good Features
Not everything is doom and gloom, but it can be easily to focus on the negative. That’s why rightmove Fixer also highlights the good too. Find out right away if the property has a low tax band, or has a good EPC rating, or has modern day essentials like central heating or double glazing. Ther are just too many to list, but many of the common best features are highlighted in green.

Remove Auctions
Search results will have highlighted property cards for anything that has been detected as an auction. In the control panel at the top right of the page you can remove these results completely if you hate seeing them as much as I do.

Check Crime
Everything might be looking good on a property’s page, the house is beautiful, and has everything you want... But is it in the right place? Use the button in the control panel to check the local area for crime. Clicking the check crime button will copy the address to the clipboard to make researching easier.
