Decided to read some reviews after installing..the most recent reviews are very quick with no insights, and some just rate with no written review. Far too many such anonymous reviews. I filtered by one star rating. Was alarmed at one users experience where he was banned with no reason given immediately following paid subscription. He has not received a refund. I am immediately removing this extension.

I upgraded to their premium plan and they blocked permanently within the first day. I spoke with them, they replied with this "we do not disclose any information about ban reasons, sorry. Bans are permanent."

Now what kind of nonsense is this? they claim it might have been that I didnt follow their Terms & conditions but I read it carefully and i absolutely did nothing wrong. I asked them to refund me but no reply so far.

I ask you Mozilla admins to take serious action to this kind of scam that lingers among your product which I trust and this kinda extensions are damaging your reputation. Kindly do the needfull.

PS: SetupVpn and HoxxVpn are mostly made by the same company or atleast run by the same bot/system so I would difenetly recommend to investigate their scam.

Obnxious repeated demands to register for premium, sly subtle fucking LIES by failing to connect and telling me how 'vpn may be insufficient to circumvent isp blocking', *implying* the vpn just couldn't work this time but in a completely deniable way (because it connect perfectly well immediately afterwardss).
Repeated demands to rate, shoving obnoxius fake ethusiasm in your mouth ('I WANT TO RATE RIGHT NOW!' - with capitals and exclamation mark like that).
Dropping connection then pointedly failing to reconnect.

Taking my 4* review down to 1* now. It isn't secure and they cut it down to countries that don't give more access to anything than the USA (ie no Asian IPs in the free one at all, not even Singapore which is easy to get free access to loads of IPs in, Thailand, too though Thailand's a bit slow)... switched because what's the point of having access to... oh, everything being a US based user already gets? Maybe it's useful if you're not in the USA, but within N.Am or Europe, it doesn't unblock anything, really, while other services have IPs all over the place.

I mean, it's not like they paid for the servers they're leeching data from-they aren't even using the "free for everyday home use because loads of businesses pay top money for us" model here. You'd have to get a real business one for truly secure access. This isn't improving your security, just fooling poorly coded sites into thinking you are traveling temporarily (while they still leave your computer ID fully visible).

I renewed my premium account a couple of weeks ago, and it's been really really slow, so I downloaded the destop version, but it didn't work, kept telling me the software needs to be updated.
