I've used Startpage for several years and love it! No spam, no hacking... and no tracking. This is the best!

Nice clean page to which to open brower. Seems to always find what I seek. See no evidence that we have been breached.

WARNING! An advertising company called System1 has now huge impact on data collection of each user using Startpage because System1 has become majority shareholder. Do not use this search machine anymore!

Good alternatives are still DuckDuckgo (is subject to US-law) or with regards to European data protection regulations, the French search machine Qwant.

Startpage cannot be considered protecting your data anymore, since they are sold to system1 - a company earning money with personalized advertisement.

1) Results are 500x better than competitors like Duck Duck Go.

2) Under EU laws, they'd have to notify you of any major privacy/data changes, so if the System1 connection was an issue we would know about it.

Habe startpage lange benutzt. Leider wurde es verkauft an ein Datensammelunternehmen! Sehr traurig. Wollen die ehemaligen Betreiber, die uns mit Datenschutz angeworben haben, mit dem Geld für den Verkauf jetzt glücklich werden oder wollen sie nur nach Kohle stinken???
