The extension works seamlessly in the background so that your browser navigates normally while optionally launching the Steam app to display the same page.

When you open a new tab or click on a link that points to an approved Steam domain (including steamcommunity.com, store.steampowered.com, steam.com, and help.steampowered.com), URL to Steam can automatically trigger the Steam app in the background. This ensures you don’t have to manually open Steam and navigate to the page yourself.

🎮 Manual Steam Opening from the Extension Popup
From the extension popup, you can click a dedicated button labeled “Open this webpage with Steam (steam only)” to manually launch the Steam app with the current page—this option is enabled only for valid Steam URLs, preventing accidental use.
Right click context menu to "Open Current Page With Steam" so if you disable automatic opening you can open via the right click or via left clicking the extension!

If the current webpage is outside these domains, the manual Steam button will be disabled, ensuring the extension only acts where intended.
