USC Schedule Helper improves the USC class search and Web Registration experience. It adds professor ratings to class results, highlights schedule conflicts, shows unit totals, exports registered classes to an .ics calendar, and lets students request class availability notifications. Calendar export uses USC's published term and session dates, skips holidays and session breaks, and opens USC's official exporter if the required data cannot be validated.

Email notifications are free. Optional SMS notifications cost $1 per section per semester.

The extension runs on classes.usc.edu and webreg.usc.edu. Calendar files are generated locally, with public date and holiday lookups from classes.usc.edu and www.usc.edu that omit sign-in credentials. Catalog requests contain course, term, or session identifiers. Notification requests send the email address, optional phone number, and selected class details that the user submits to usc.jonlu.ca.
