VIT WiFi Auto Login saves you the hassle of typing your username and password every time you reconnect to campus WiFi.
How it works

Click the extension icon and enter your WiFi username and password once.
The extension recognizes the VIT/Pronto captive portal login page automatically — it does nothing on any other website.
When the login page appears, your credentials are filled in for you instantly.
Turn on "Auto-submit" if you want it to log you in completely automatically, with no clicks needed.

Your privacy

Your username and password are stored only in your own browser's local storage — never uploaded to any server, database, or third party.
The only place your credentials are ever sent is the university's own WiFi login form, exactly as if you'd typed them in yourself.
This extension collects and transmits no personal data of any kind (see the "Permissions and data" section for confirmation).

Permissions used

Storage: to remember your saved username/password on your device.
Access to web pages: needed to detect the WiFi login page and fill in the form. The extension checks for the campus portal's specific login form and does nothing on any other site you visit.

Notes

Works on any device connected to the VIT hostel/campus WiFi network.
You can disable auto-fill or clear your saved credentials at any time from the extension popup.
