Pretty much the best non-adblock alternative there is, and ironically the most safe way to reduce the abundance of ads on youtube.

I have had issues with sponsorBlock, and Ublock flagging Youtube's detection scripts - but, simply auto skipping the ads is such an ingenious move as you become effectively unwanted by advertisers (Oddly enough, perfectly skipping ads seems to get you less? And always skippable ones? odd.) which is just funny to me.

The fact that the developer has not had to update this for over 4 months says this perfectly; this works.

Does exactly what it says it does. Works perfectly. It isn't blocking ads so I don't feel guilty, just helping me press the "skip" button as soon as possible.

Thanks for this. With the insane amount of ads nowadays (1 every exactly 5min, including if you pause...) to have to stop working everytime one appears meant too many unnecessary pauses wasting time. BIG thanks ♥

6 December 2023 worked for one video and then youtube blocked it again

as of 12/5/23 no longer works.
also developer i can NOT contact you as it comes from a nobody@ account. however i am using the latest version as i just downloaded on 12/5/23. and youtube just continues to play as normal full length ads even after completely closing browser and logging back in.

Does it work in public page, or only work in private mode?

This is an absolute must have for youtube now. I can't get any of my ad-blockers to work, but at LEAST I can listen to videos in the background with minimal interruption now.

This is excellent. As anyone, I'm annoyed by ads, but I don't want to completely block them, in appreciation for the content creators. This plugin forces the ads to work the way YouTube should keep them, small 5 seconds ads that require no interaction.
