Version 5.13.1 (August 28, 2025):

- On the main page no red X after the channel name and no entries in the menu.
- But this works, when I open the video.
- Blocked videos are listed on the main page without a blocking-overlay, however, on the video's page you get the blocking-overlay.
- It seems that the blocking-overlay sometimes works on the main page as well.

Thanks for all your hard work on this. I've been happy with this extension until now, but since the latest update, videos from channels I've blocked are showing up again. When I hover over a video and click the red block button, the channel gets added to the block list in the options, but it doesn't actually hide the videos. I've been using it with the overlays hidden, and it seems like the blocking only works properly when the overlays are shown.

Absolutly essential extension, without it youtube is cancer.

What about block content button (appears when hover over thumbnail or something similar)

A very, very useful addon. Especially after his colleague Bloktube stopped working. Now YTBlock is the only protection for my children from tons of video garbage.
There are problems - for example, YouTube search results are not completely cleaned by keywords. And some channels cannot be blocked by keywords, despite their name being directly indicated in the keywords.
But all the same - a huge thank you to the author, his work is extremely useful.

A fantastic and vital add-on which has everything you want from a YT content blocker. I tried a number of blockers before, and this one is the best I have tried yet. It has one feature that I've never seen before: it shows you on the page that it blocked something, and why it blocked it. You can turn this "overlay" feature on or off, which I really appreciate. I am very grateful for the person who developed this tool. If you are reading this, thank you!

Fantastic, and practically necessary to wade through modern Youtube. Although, you will have to tweak it in options to get the most out of it. Most people should open the options, and go to the "Overlays" tab and uncheck "Show Overlays". You may also want to go to "Channel", and check off "Add block button next to channel names" for an easy way to block things.

Edit: Looks like youtube is on the warpath again. Much like Channel Blocker and Blocktube before it, the plugin is being supressed by youtube.
