New Tab Search Autor: New Tab Extension

New Tab Search is a simple search helper that:

• Sets Bing as your default search engine.
• Adds an @tab address-bar keyword: type @tab your query and the results
  open in a new tab.
• Provides a toolbar button that opens the New Tab Hub start page.

How it works

After installation, your default search engine is switched to Bing
(New Tab Search). You can change it back at any time from
about:preferences#search.

Monetization disclosure

This extension uses a Bing search partner URL. When you search through it,
the publisher may receive a small share of Bing's advertising revenue.
This does not add any extra cost or tracking on top of a normal Bing search.

Permissions

• Search engine override — to set Bing as default.
• @tab omnibox keyword — to handle the address-bar shortcut.
• Host permission for newtabhub.net — to open the start page and complete
  the post-install welcome.

Privacy

Your search query (searchTerms) is sent to Bing exactly as you would send
it by visiting bing.com directly. No browsing history, no personal data, no
analytics are collected by the extension itself. See the linked Privacy
