This policy describes how we handle information when you use the TestingView browser add-on (the “Add-on”) with TradingView. It supplements our website Privacy Policy; where both apply, the more specific description controls for the Add-on.

1. What the Add-on does
   The Add-on runs on TradingView pages to provide backtesting sessions, simulated trades, journaling, and related session tools. It is not affiliated with TradingView.

4. Local storage
Some session state may be stored locally in your browser (extension storage) so the Add-on can work offline or load faster. That data stays on your device unless you sign in and sync with a TestingView account, in which case applicable session data may also be stored on our servers.

1. How we use information
   We use Add-on-related data to:

operate and improve the Add-on and related services;
sync your sessions and journal when you use a TestingView account;
enforce plan limits and prevent abuse;
respond to support requests.
We do not sell your personal information.

1. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
   Where GDPR applies, we rely on contract performance (providing the service), legitimate interests (security and improvement), and consent where required (e.g. optional communications).
2. Sharing
   We may share data with:

Service providers (hosting, email, analytics on the website) under confidentiality obligations;
Authorities when required by law.
We do not share Add-on data with TradingView beyond what you already provide to TradingView directly.

TradingView — you are subject to TradingView’s Privacy Policy when using their platform.
TestingView.com — Google sign-in, subscriptions, and cookies are described at https://testingview.com/privacy.
9. Retention
We keep account and session data while your account is active and as needed for legal, security, or backup requirements. You may request deletion via hello@testingview.com (subject to legal retention limits).

   We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (HTTPS, access controls, secure credential storage for website services). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
2. Your choices

Use the Add-on without a TestingView.com account only if the product allows it; synced features require an account.
Manage subscription and linked data at https://testingview.com/account.
Uninstall the Add-on to stop further collection through the extension.
12. Children
The Add-on is not directed at children under 16 (or the age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect their data.

1. International transfers
   If you are outside our hosting region, data may be processed in countries with different privacy laws. We use appropriate safeguards where required.
2. Changes
   We may update this policy. The current version will be posted at https://testingview.com/privacy (or a dedicated extension URL you publish). Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
