But it gives you lots of other options, too. The Preferences UI is scattered, and a bit hobbyist and confusing. But the extension is getting better with every update.

Data: 2 lata temuhi! what are the hobbyist parts? The github preview? Prefer a full page UI? (our current one allows to check the change on the Youtube site the same moment.)
