Bandcamp Cover Finder is an extension that solves a simple problem: Bandcamp never shows an album cover in its true resolution, and gives no way to tell whether another account is hosting a better version of the same image.
On an album or track page:
A floating panel appears automatically and shows:

the cover at the highest resolution actually available (the extension tests several URL variants and keeps the best one found),
its exact dimensions in pixels,
its real file size in bytes,
its format (JPEG, PNG, WebP),
three buttons: Open in a new tab, Download, Copy direct URL.

Cross-account search:
Clicking the toolbar icon opens a search field. Typing an album name triggers a background Bandcamp search (invisible to the user), and the extension displays a grid of results: one per account/label offering that album, each with its own high-resolution cover, ready to open or download directly — no need to copy-paste URLs or open each page one by one.
Privacy:
The extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. It only communicates with Bandcamp domains (bandcamp.com, bcbits.com) to load pages and images, and sends nothing to any third-party server.
Permissions used:

access to Bandcamp domains: to read pages and images
tab management: to open the background results tab during a search, and the album tab when clicking a result

Bandcamp Cover Finder est une extension qui résout un problème simple : Bandcamp n'affiche jamais la pochette d'un album dans sa vraie résolution, et ne permet pas de savoir si un autre compte propose une meilleure version de la même image.
Sur une page album ou track :
Un panneau flottant apparaît automatiquement et affiche :

la pochette en résolution maximale réellement disponible (l'extension teste plusieurs variantes d'URL et garde la meilleure trouvée),
ses dimensions exactes en pixels,
son poids réel en octets,
son format (JPEG, PNG, WebP),
trois boutons : Ouvrir dans un nouvel onglet, Télécharger, Copier l'URL directe.

Recherche multi-comptes :
Un clic sur l'icône de la barre d'outils ouvre un champ de recherche. En tapant le nom d'un album, l'extension effectue une recherche Bandcamp en arrière-plan (invisible pour l'utilisateur) et affiche une grille de résultats : un par compte/label proposant cet album, chacun avec sa propre pochette en haute résolution, prête à ouvrir ou télécharger directement — sans avoir à copier-coller d'URL ni ouvrir chaque page une par une.
Confidentialité :
L'extension ne collecte, ne stocke ni ne transmet aucune donnée personnelle. Elle ne communique qu'avec les domaines Bandcamp (bandcamp.com, bcbits.com) pour charger les images et pages de résultats, et n'envoie rien à un serveur tiers.

gestion des onglets : pour ouvrir la page de résultats en arrière-plan lors d'une recherche, et l'onglet album au clic sur un résultat
