    • Added auto-scrolling to cleanup log so newest lines stay visible
    • Implemented automatic retry for failed nickname requests (1 retry, 800 ms delay)
    • Converted nickname apply errors to silent failures — no more extension popup spam (TypeError: Failed to fetch)
    • UI now shows ❌ on failure without throwing console errors, unless debugMode = true
    • Minor UX improvement: cleanup box hides when prefix is empty instead of showing stale data
