Limited Use: Chatly only collects and uses browser data (such as highlighted text or input fields) that is directly relevant to the add-on's single purpose: AI-powered writing and research assistance.
Data Sharing: We share user-provided text with our AI processing partners (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) via secure, encrypted APIs to generate responses. We do not allow these partners to use customer data to train their models.
Authentication & Storage: We use the WebExtensions storage API (browser.storage) to save user login tokens and settings locally. We use your email address (collected via Google/Apple OAuth) solely to manage your account.
No Sale of Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade user data to any third parties, including data brokers or advertising networks.
No Tracking: We do not collect or store your browsing history, cookies from other websites, or personal information outside of what is necessary for the AI to function.
