The Claws extension ("Claws", "we", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our data collection and handling practices.


Claws does not collect, store, transmit, or monetize any personal data, browsing history, telemetry, or analytics.


To function as a download manager, Claws requires broad permissions (such as *://*/*, declarativeNetRequest, and webNavigation) to intercept web downloads.

When a download is intercepted, Claws securely transmits the download URL and any relevant session cookies strictly locally to the Grabbit application installed on your macOS device via Native Messaging.

None of this data is ever sent to the cloud, our servers, or any third party.


Because Claws only acts as a local bridge between your browser and the Grabbit application, no data is retained by the extension beyond the immediate local transmission of the download request.
