COS Cash-Back Tracker is an independent browser extension, not affiliated with Capital One.

WHAT IT READS: When you are on capitaloneshopping.com, it reads the cash-back deals shown on the page you are viewing (store, %, product title, price). It never logs in for you and never sees or stores your password.

STORED LOCALLY ONLY: your watchlist, your settings, the most recent deals snapshot, and any email/relay URL you enter. No analytics, no tracking, no selling/sharing of data.

TRANSMITTED: only if you enable the optional email digest by entering a Google Apps Script relay URL you create. Then only your matched deals and the email address you entered are sent (over HTTPS) to that URL, which runs under your own Google account, so it can email you. Nothing is sent to the developer or any third party. If you never set up email, nothing is transmitted.

PERMISSIONS: storage (save settings locally), alarms (schedule the optional daily check), tabs (open/close the optional background-refresh tab and focus the COS tab for Jump-to-deal), notifications (desktop alert), host access to capitaloneshopping.com (read deals) and script.google.com (deliver your optional email).

CONTROL: the email digest and the silent daily refresh are off by default. Remove the extension to delete all stored data.
