Hydra Download Manager Integration connects Firefox to Hydra, a fast, resilient download manager for Windows, macOS and Linux. Downloads leave the browser and land in Hydra, where they get multi-connection speed, reliable pause and resume, queueing, and integrity checks.

What the extension does

Automatic capture — File types you choose are routed to Hydra the moment Firefox starts them. If Hydra is not running, the download simply continues in Firefox. Hold Alt while clicking a link to bypass capture once.
Download this video — Hover any video or audio player and a small bar appears. Open it to pick from every quality Hydra can produce, or download all of them at once.
HLS and DASH streams — Adaptive streams are detected per page and listed with resolution, bitrate, codec and duration. Pick the variant you want and Hydra assembles it into a single MP4 or TS file.
Right-click downloads — "Download with Hydra" on any link, image or media, plus "Download all links" for a whole page.
Highlight to download — Select text containing links and a floating button appears. One link downloads directly, several open Hydra's batch box.
Per-tab media badge — The toolbar icon counts the media found on the current tab. Open the popup to see and send any of them.
Cookies travel with the download — Files behind a login download correctly, because Hydra receives the session cookies for that URL.
Settings follow the app — The capture file-type list, excluded sites, and the per-browser switch are all managed in Hydra's Options and apply to the extension automatically.
