JaDict 1.0.0 rebuilds the extension around DeepSeek V4. The release replaces the deprecated Gemini integration and refreshes every user-facing surface while preserving the fast text-selection workflow.

The native toolbar action now opens at 760 by 600 pixels. Settings, guide, model selection and search share one horizontal tools row, leaving more vertical room for dictionary results, chat and history. The extension remains inside the browser toolbar popup and does not open a separate resizable window.

Chrome controls the outer action-popup window and does not expose user drag-resizing for toolbar popups. JaDict therefore uses a substantially wider fixed layout and allocates the available height to scrollable content areas.

• Chat history entries now store a bounded snapshot of up to 20 messages.
• A stable conversation ID updates one history entry as the conversation grows.
• The History tab includes a clear Tiếp tục action for chat entries.
• Resuming restores the selected conversation into the current browser tab, switches to Chat and preserves context for the next message.
• Legacy entries without snapshots can still resume from their stored question and answer.

JaDict now requests a fixed 780 by 600 pixel action popup. It remains the normal browser-toolbar popup and does not open a separate window. The responsive rule that previously locked Chrome's initially narrow viewport at roughly 320 pixels has been removed.

Settings, guide, model selection and search share one horizontal tools row. Dictionary, chat and history therefore receive about 420 pixels of usable vertical space. Compact labels remain on one line instead of wrapping into uneven columns.


Conversation resume was introduced in v1.0.1 and remains included in this package. It was regression-tested while correcting the popup layout:

• full snapshots restore the original conversation ID and messages;
• legacy entries restore their saved question and answer;
• restored context is written to the current tab before Chat opens;
• the message input receives focus and the next message uses the restored background context.

JaDict v0.4 - Gemini Chat Integration, UI Overhaul, and Stability Improvement

- AI chatbot: Integrated Gemini chat using the same Gemini API key. Upto 50 requests per day for Pro model.
