lahend.ee - Estonian case law Autor: Nimistu

Riigi Teataja, Estonia's official state gazette, tells you what the law says.
It does not tell you how the courts have applied it - or what the provision
being cross-referenced actually says.

This extension adds both, directly on the Riigi Teataja page.

Case law next to every paragraph. Each paragraph heading shows how many
court decisions cite it. Click through to read them on lahend.ee.

Citations open on hover. Every reference in the body text - "§ 37 lõike 4",
"RahaPTS § 23" - becomes hoverable, showing that provision's text and its
subsections in place. No page change, no losing your position.

Where the data comes from. lahend.ee extracted 3.05 million citations from
the text of 346,000 Estonian court decisions and joined them to the Riigi
Teataja corpus of legislation. The same dataset is free to use on lahend.ee
itself and through its MCP server.

Privacy. The extension collects nothing: no storage, no cookies, no
analytics. The only outbound request carries the id of the act you are already
reading, sent to lahend.ee's public API to fetch provision text and citation
counts.

Known limitation. Citations resolve to the paragraph, not the subsection:
"§ 37 lõike 4" links to § 37 as a whole.

The interface is in Estonian, matching the site it annotates.
