I have been looking for an add-on to replace an old one that stopped working. This is perfect for my needs

Solves the recent Mozilla hijack of the new tab for their own home page when you have a different one set up. Very easy to use, though a save button (or an explanation that none is needed) on the new settings tab the add-on creates would be an enhancement. Users should not need an add-on to control their new tab content, but since Mozilla seems to feel they are entitled to control that content, this plugin allows the user to take back control. When I open a new tab, it places the cursor before the test in the address bar instead of selecting the text in the adress bar. Typing in a search and pressing enter leads to a search containing my new tab url after my search terms

Excellent extension. I wanted to DuckDuckGo to come up on each new tab. New Tab Override did the job. Very easy to set up. Highly recommended.
