⚙️ HOW IT WORKS

1. Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store
2. Open any FACEIT CS2 match room (the URL contains "/room/")
3. The overlay appears automatically on the top right
4. Stats load progressively as the FACEIT API responds
5. Once all 10 players are loaded, team averages calculate automatically
6. Veto tracker activates if a veto is in progress

That's it. No login, no permissions beyond reading FACEIT pages, no game file modifications.

• Use team averages during veto to ban maps where the enemy is strongest
• Check ADR alongside K/D — a player with low K/D but high ADR is an entry fragger
• Hover over a player to see their full stats expand
• Stats are cached for 1 hour to load instantly on subsequent matches
• If a player is shown as "Error" or "HTTP 404", they may have a private profile or a new account with no public stats

Q: Does this work on hub matches and tournaments?
A: Yes — works on any FACEIT match room (matchmaking, hubs, tournaments) for CS2.

Q: Does it slow down my browser?
A: No. The overlay only activates on FACEIT match room pages. Other tabs and pages are unaffected.

Q: Why are some players' stats missing?
A: Players with private profiles or very few matches won't have full data. New accounts also have limited stats.

Q: Can the enemy see that I'm using this?
A: No. This is a personal overlay running entirely in your browser. Other players see nothing.

Q: Will this get me banned?
A: No. PeekStats does not modify game files or inject anything into CS2. It only reads public FACEIT data through their official API.

Q: Why does it ask for storage permission?
A: To cache player stats for 1 hour (faster loading) and remember your toggle preferences (overlay on/off, auto-accept).

Q: Can I use this with other FACEIT extensions?
A: Yes. PeekStats is designed to not conflict with other tools. It only adds its overlay and doesn't modify FACEIT's own UI.
