WhatsApp Privacy Shield does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data.

This extension runs only on https://web.whatsapp.com/* and modifies the page locally in the
browser to hide or blur chats, message previews, message text, avatars, and media until the user
reveals them.

### This extension does not:
- collect personal data
- collect message contents for transmission
- send data to external servers
- use analytics or tracking
- inject remote code
- sync data to any backend service

### Local storage
The extension stores only local preference data in browser storage:
- selected privacy mode
- selected reveal timer duration

### Permissions usage
- storage: saves user settings locally
- tabs: finds open WhatsApp Web tabs so the popup can send the panic-hide command
- host permission for https://web.whatsapp.com/*: restricts the extension to WhatsApp Web only

This extension does not send data to the developer, Meta, WhatsApp, or any third party.
