Wouldn't recommend using this extension anymore. In the past I've noticed radfem accounts exploiting the "peer-review" bit to get trans people mass-reported as anti-trans/red in an attempt to ostracize them from their own community, so I knew the extension wouldn't last long, but I never would've expected it to be taken over by those exact same people.

I've seen transmascs marked as anti-trans, intersex people marked as anti-trans, BLM supporters focusing on trans PoC - you guessed it - marked as anti-trans, meanwhile accounts who are literally infamous for mocking the suicide of Eden Knight are marked as green/pro-trans. Even people who frequently use the "TERFs please touch" tag on tumblr are green now.

I wondered WTF was going on so I did some research just to find out the extension is run now by gender-essentialist, transmasc-excluding radfems who will mark you as anti-trans if you so much as acknowledge that transmasc or intersex people face oppression, and from what I've heard the developers have openly defended this decision, leaving me to believe it's 100% intentional and not just poor moderation.

Shinigami Eye was never entirely reliable, because you shouldn't rely on a peer-view extension to tell you who does and doesn't hate trans people, but now it's become the opposite of what it was made for. Long story short: this app is useless now and I doubt I'll ever be using it again.

I have noticed a lot more people that are excliptly pro-trans getting marked red and being left red. a large amount of people who have never even said a single thing that could reasonably be construed as transphobic are getting marked as anti-trans despite being anything but. i am going to be ditching this extension since its become clear that the moderators of it are letting their own personal bigotry infect it.

the current maintainer supports use of the term "theyfab" and other varietys of discrimination against trans men + mascs the straw that broke the camels back was a blog that reblogged and i quote"I hope small bean transmasc jakey falls on a spike and dissolves into putrid slime. All of you are softboy uwu hitlerites 3 months away from becoming actual fucking detrans terfs. Kill yourself." this blog was marked friendly to trans people bcuz obviously transandrophobia isnt real.

Have nothing against this extension, but extension about corruption and fundamental justice must be by the order of magnitude above in the list than this one (which is not current state), so just fixing sorting by dropping this one lower.

Used to be fantastic, but now they're explicitly not filtering out malicious reports to mark transphobes as safe, normal trans people as transphobes, and for some reason they're REAL weird about nonbinary people, intersex people, and really enjoy the threats against transmascs.

So it goes.

I'd give this add-on zero stars if I could. Ever since it's change in ownership more and more anti-intersex and anti-transmasc blogs have been getting marked as trans-friendly and intersex and transmasc-friendly blogs have been wrongfully marked anti-trans.

You have to double check blogs now just to see whether someone was wrongly marked and the extension has become basically useless.

This has made the internet so much safer for me. I understand people's concerns about false positives or negatives, although admittedly I haven't had this issue myself. Thank you for making the internet a safer place for trans people. <3

Accurate *except* for intersex advocates, who get marked red. Vile if intentional.

Used to work, Now people who talk about trans men or intersex people are marked red and people who say vile things about them as well as literal anti-trans people are marked green. You have to do just as much research yourself now into every blog as without this.

worked perfectly fine months ago, now has transmisogynists marked green and trans-positive individuals marked red. no point.

i want to leave this review regarding trans mascs specifically being marked red, which while it is a problem, the majority of the time ive seen them marked red is because they are openly transmisogynists. the point of the extension was to highlight transphobes. you can't complain about being marked red when you yourself are being transphobic. come on now

HOWEVER. it is also true there are people marked green despite also being transphobic. there is no reason why cis transphobes and trans right winger should be marked green when they are going against what the add-on should stand for.

likewise there should be no reason for people who have literally never posted anything regarding trans matter, as well as trans positive people, should be marked red.

the fact i have to actually verify who i come across if theyre a random person on tumblr defeat the point of the extension. very disappointed overall

Borderline useless now. So many people falsely marked red. I hate to uninstall it, but... this review is the last thing I'm going to do before I remove it.

false flagging blatantly transphobic sources as trans friendly and vice versa, been using for years but the past year has been steadily worse, i cannot in my right mind recommend this extension anymore.
