SnipLingo — OCR & Translate Autor: Edarm

SnipLingo lets you select any visible area of a web page, recognize text with local OCR, and translate the recognized text into Bulgarian, English, German, Spanish, or Russian.

Features:

• Select text from images, videos, documents, and regular web pages.
• OCR processing runs locally inside Firefox.
• Screenshots are never uploaded.
• Translation starts only after you click Translate.
• Only the recognized text and selected target language are sent securely to the SnipLingo server and DeepL.
• Copy recognized or translated text to the clipboard.
• Start area selection from the toolbar or with Alt+Shift+S.

An internet connection is required only for translation. The first OCR scan may take up to one minute while the local OCR engine starts.
