Tentaco is a privacy-first browser toolbox for Firefox. One add-on for PDFs, images, video, audio, text tools, and quick file sharing — so you can finish common tasks without jumping between random websites or creating accounts for everyday work.

PDF TOOLS
Merge, split, compress, and convert PDFs in Tentaco’s PDF workflows. Prepare documents for email or upload, shrink large files, extract or reorganize pages, and open the PDF studio from the popup when you already have a file on hand. Built for practical document chores, not enterprise bloat.

IMAGE TOOLS
Compress and convert images, run OCR when you need text from a picture, and open Image Studio for quick edits. Useful for screenshots, photos, memes, and web graphics — resize or lighten files before you send or publish them. Hand off a local image from the add-on or continue in the studio when you need more control.

VIDEO & AUDIO
Save video and audio from many websites (not only one platform). Open Video Studio to compress, convert, or edit a clip. If a media list looks empty, play once on the page and refresh the popup — many sites only expose streams after playback starts. Watch download progress and cancel anytime.

SHARE FILES
Choose or drop a file in the add-on, upload there, and copy a temporary Tentaco File Share link. No separate upload page required for that flow. Ideal for sending someone a PDF, image, or clip quickly (size limits apply).

TEXT & MORE
Select text on any page and jump into matching Tentaco tools — formatters, converters, checkers, and hundreds of small utilities. Search from the popup, pin the studios you use most, and reopen recent destinations.

HOW TO START
1. Install and pin Tentaco.
2. Open the toolbar popup.
3. PDFs & images: Share file, upload, or open the matching studio.
4. Page media: play once if needed, then download or open Video Studio.
5. Text: select content and send it into a tool.

PRIVACY
Local-first and privacy-minded. Core flows don’t require an account. Media and uploads happen when you choose an action — not as silent tracking. Self-hosters can set a custom Tentaco origin; default is tentaco.cc.
