Trimi Link Shortener sends only the URL selected by the user, the current tab URL, or the link URL chosen from the context menu to https://trimi.me in order to create a shortened link.

The extension does not collect browsing history automatically. It does not collect account data, passwords, cookies, form data, payment data, location data, or personal communications.

The Trimi service stores the original URL, generated short code, creation time, click count, optional expiration time, and optional click limit required to provide the link-shortening service.

URLs are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for advertising or tracking. The service may process URLs for security checks, abuse prevention, rate limiting, and service operation.

Users can avoid sending a URL by not using the extension toolbar action or context menu action.
