TUM Auto Login (for Moodle and TUMonline) Autor: bluff

Yes, the “Stay logged in” button on TUM sites is still not working. This add-on automatically and quickly presses the login buttons for Moodle and TUMonline so you don't have to.

How it works

The add-on works across the full TUM Single-Sign-On flow:
• moodle.tum.de – clicks the "Mit TUM-Kennung" / "With TUM ID" button
• campus.tum.de (TUM Online) – clicks the "TUM Login" button
• login.tum.de (TUM Identity Provider) – clicks the "LOGIN" button, as soon as the username and password are filled in by your browser

For this to work smoothly, the option "Fill usernames and passwords automatically" has to be enabled in your browser, so that your TUM login details are automatically filled in without a confirmation.

On the final login page, the extension only clicks the "LOGIN" button after it detects that the username and password fields have already been filled in by the browser. This extension does not read or store your username or password. It only measures the length of the input fields, but it never reads their contents.

Privacy

• The add-on does NOT collect, transmit, or share any data.
• Nothing is ever sent to any server; there is no analytics or tracking.
• The only thing stored locally is a small counter (via browser storage) used to stop the add-on from re-submitting a failed login in an endless loop. This value never leaves your browser.
• The add-on runs only on the three TUM domains listed above.

Please only use this add-on on a personal device that is secured (e.g. with a OS login), because it removes the final manual confirmation step of logging in.
