Its only for windows? Waiting for Ubuntu!!

Why can't we get it plain and simple like before? Now it requires you to install a Windows program and grant far too many privacy rights for my taste. I guess we will have to uninstall it and find another one.
I would recommend to stay away from this extension until (if) is fixed again.

After having read detailed explanation (https://support.ant.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005568983-About-the-new-Ant-Video-Downloader-3-0) I regret my previous harsh comment and thus I have increased my rating.
I will keep checking for new versions of Ant, and I have trust that the ease of use of the older version will be restored soon. Please ignore my previous comment.

like others, this was the best add on on the net. NOW IT JUST SUCKS... Guess i need to find another one..

This new update is horrible. It suggests downloading and installing a separate program to the hard drive in order to make it work.

I used this add-on for years and loved it but this new build just doesn't work for me.

There are a few video downloaders that now require an *.msi installer for it to work.with the new Firefox update but I've found a downloader which works fine with no additional program needed.

Unfortunately i might have to migrate away from this.

This is the better video downloader for Firefox, no doubt about it, I really hope an update.

For those who thinks is suspicious the way this add on should be installed, you have nothing to worry about, I am using this for years, everything is clean. Great Add On!

Notice that when you try to install how it says it can completely molest your entire computer. Monitor all your traffic, get all your site data, blah blah blah.

HAHA now it wants to install a standalone program using a MS installer MSI !!!

Okay so I finally broke down and actually installed it. It's absolutely terrible. The interface is impossible to understand and it totally unusable. Now when I click on a video or sound to DL it opens up another page filled with links of things I can DL but they're all repeats of the same thing and it's impossible to tell what you're actually DLing.

THIS IS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF "BETTER" BEING THE ENEMY OF GOOD!

Wow. It used to be the best video downloader. Now you have to install a separate program via a Microsoft installer. Guess I won't be using it anymore.
