Há um mês eu baixei um vídeo com essa ferramenta e o arquivo gerado não gerava uma miniatura. Todos os outros arquivos geravam. Quando eu abria a pasta "dwhelper" o explorer consumia 90% da CPU para catalogar os arquivos desta pasta. Porém o processo nunca finalizava e a pastava travava o windows.
Tentei deletar o arquivo mas o botão "excluir" não era exibido.
Só consegui excluir a pasta através do CMD.
Eu gostava muito desta ferramenta, mas não é possível ficar correndo esse tipo de risco.

it asks you to install additional software on almost all videos you wish to download. nope, not gonna do that.

No "simple red button" to press with Video Download Helper ... a big waste of time ... neither worked as advertised. <1 star!

Used to be really free, now it will download the videos, take forever to transcode them to add a stupid QR code to ask for money for a "premium" version, while your computer is slowed down while the transcoding (using only the CPU) is done on the background.

If any extension opens up a new tab without my intension, even worse - while I'm working or watching a fullscreen video, I usually give it a one star rating and delete it forever. Because opening tabs is a huge disrespect towards users.

Takes forever. It took over over 8 hours for a 55MB video. How can that be possible? Unless its using my CPU to put the audio/video back together, instead of using GPU (via something like ffmpeg - what a fool the devs are if it is).

Also, doesn't remember settings, as they constantly revert back to defaults.

Use any other video downloader. Forget the fact that is was once a pretty good extension and move on.

Wants you to pay to download without watermark like there aren't a million other ways to download videos without watermark for free.

For the past few months this app NO LONGER downloads videos to my computer. It only downloads them to itself for playback later. I never changed any settings. I accepted all updates but clearly this app no longer functions.

Does the job, but many things are suspicious: additional companion app, high resource usage, high addon dispatches.

No longer works on YouTube.

Es war mal ein gutes und nützliches Add-on. Jetzt kann es leider nichts mehr außer meine Zeit zu verschwenden. Wenn ich etwas downloaden will erscheint ein Tab, der mich darauf hinweist, das eine Begleitanwendung installiert werden muß. The addon require companion software to be installed while other addons are perfectly capable of downloading directly. How can we make sure the companion software is not compromised.

Completely useless. Puts a pay-wall watermark on youtube videos. Use an open source free program instead.
