The 1953 recording of Richard Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen cycle of four operas, conducted by Clemens Krauss, recorded live at the Bauyreuth Festspielhaus, and featuring a stellar cast led by Hans Hotter (Wotan), Astrid Varnay (Brünnhilde), Wolfgang Windgassen (Siegfried) and Gustav Neidlinger (Alberich).
