Caspian is committed to protecting user privacy. This extension is built on a strict zero-data-collection philosophy.

1. Information Collection and Storage
   • Zero Personal Data Collection: Caspian does not collect, harvest, track, or transmit any personal data, chat conversations, browsing history, access tokens, or media consumption data.
   • Local Settings Storage: User preferences (such as speed presets, pruning limits, UI theme colors, and temporary screenshot drafts) are stored exclusively on your device using Firefox's local browser.storage.local API and IndexedDB. This data never leaves your browser.
   • No Third-Party Analytics: Caspian does not use Google Analytics, telemetry libraries, tracking beacons, advertising networks, or any external analytics services.
2. Permissions Usage
   • Chat Optimization & Temporary Chats: Content scripts running on ChatGPT and Google Gemini operate strictly in memory to prune DOM elements and format transcripts. Any chat conversions or session tokens read via the browser DOM stay strictly between your browser and the official AI provider's native endpoints.
   • Universal Media Controller (<all_urls>): Operates entirely client-side to alter the playbackRate property of native HTML5 audio and video elements on pages you visit.
   • RippleFrame Screenshot Studio: Screenshot captures and canvas annotations are processed entirely in client-side memory and saved directly to your local file system via standard browser download prompts.
3. Third-Party Sharing
   Because no data is collected, transmitted, or hosted on remote servers, no user information is ever sold, rented, shared, or transferred to third parties.
