Most website blockers manage time on site — a timer that cuts you off after X minutes. Site Visit Limiter solves a different problem: compulsively reopening the same sites over and over throughout the day, even for a few seconds each time, without actually finding anything new.

Instead of a countdown timer, it counts visits. You choose a site and a maximum number of times you're allowed to open it per day — say, 3 visits to a news site or a forum. Once you've used them up, the site is replaced with a simple "you're done for today" page until midnight, when your count resets.

Browsing around within a site you're already on doesn't cost you an extra visit — only navigating back into it from somewhere else (a new tab, a link, typing the URL) does. That way it targets the specific habit of reflexively re-checking a page, rather than punishing normal use of the site once you're there.

No accounts, no tracking, no data leaves your device — everything is stored locally in the browser.
