browser.storage.session, an already-open reader re-registers its current session snapshot after a restarted background reconnects, restoring the article, tab association, timer, and Auto Close state without saving preferences, history, or other persistent data. - Fixes missing paragraph blank lines by targeting the actual
#article-bodycontainer: body-block gaps are 2rem on desktop and 1.75rem on mobile. - Fixes device-dependent first-line indentation: every rendered body paragraph now shows two ideographic spaces before its first sentence. Headings remain unindented and spoken text is unchanged.
- Keeps timer semantics unchanged: expiry pauses speech without Auto Close, and with Auto Close it still closes the source tab first and the reader tab second.
- Keeps strict no-persistence behavior: article, settings, progress, timer, and tab association data are used only for the active reader session and are completely cleared after the reader is actually closed; no reading history or preferences are saved.

- Provides 5, 10, 15, 30, 45, and 60 minute timer presets. The custom range supports 0 through 180 minutes, with no separate timer-off button.
- The custom timer value updates while dragging. Values from 0 through 60 show minutes; larger values use compact hours and minutes. Releasing the slider or completing a keyboard adjustment saves the setting.
- Historical stored values from 181 through 1440 minutes are normalized to 180 minutes. Remaining time counts down by the second and clears on stop, normal completion, setting the timer to 0, page unload, or expiration.
- The timer runs only while reading is active. Manual pause freezes the exact remaining seconds, and Resume continues from that frozen value; background execution and screen-off periods follow the current reading or paused state. Expiration preserves the article and reading position and marks the reader as timer-paused.
- Reworks the reading controls: Start Reading is shown when ready, Pause and Stop while reading, and Resume and Stop while paused.
