Audible Player Enhanced – Dark Mode & Volume Controls for Audible

Make the Audible web player easier and more enjoyable to use.

Audible Player Enhanced adds features that should already exist in the Audible browser player — including a proper dark mode, volume slider, and quick mute controls.

If you regularly listen to audiobooks on desktop, this extension helps make the experience cleaner, more comfortable, and easier to control.

Features

Dark Mode

Adds a dark theme to the Audible web player to reduce eye strain, especially during late-night listening sessions.

The styling is designed specifically for Audible’s interface, so it feels built-in rather than a generic website filter.

Volume Slider & Mute Button

Adds missing audio controls directly into the player, including:

• Volume slider
• Mute/unmute button
• Faster audio adjustments while listening

Useful if you listen while working, studying, gaming, or multitasking.

Lightweight & Simple

The extension is designed to stay out of the way:

• Fast and lightweight
• No clutter
• Minimal permissions
• Works directly inside the Audible player

Built for Audible Desktop Users

Ideal for anyone who uses Audible in Chrome or other Chromium-based browsers and wants a better desktop listening experience.

Why I Made This

I mainly built this extension because I wanted a proper dark mode and better controls while using Audible in the browser, and I realised a lot of other people wanted the same thing.

The goal is to improve the existing player without changing how Audible works.

Supported Sites

Works on:

• audible.com
• audible.co.uk
• audible.ca
• audible.com.au
• and other Audible regions

Privacy

This extension does not collect or sell personal data. It only requests the permissions needed to modify the Audible player interface.

Ongoing Updates

The extension is actively maintained and updated alongside Audible web player changes. More improvements and fixes will continue to be added over time based on user feedback.
