Unfortunately after doing some more research, it appears that a limitation placed by Mozilla makes it impractical to add a search engine from an extension. I will be revisiting the issue later this year, and hopefully we'll have the ability to make it work on Android by then. Until then the extension will remain unavailable on Android.
