Kapto connects your browser to the Kapto desktop
application, a fast multi-connection download manager.

WHAT IT DOES
• Pick a quality and download — the popup lists every resolution the page offers
with its file size, so you choose before anything starts.
• One-click send — a Download button sits on the edge of the video player (never over
the site's own controls); click it, pick a quality, and the file is handed to the
Kapto app.
• Right-click any link, video, or audio and choose "Download with Kapto".
• See what the app is doing — the popup shows the downloads in progress, with speed,
without switching windows.
• Take over browser downloads, or don't — one switch in the popup. Per-site rules,
file-type and size filters decide the rest.
• Automatic pairing — the extension finds the desktop app on your own computer with no
ports or tokens to enter.
• Faster downloads — the desktop app splits each download into multiple connections and
supports pause, resume, and a download queue.

HOW IT WORKS
The extension detects downloadable content on the page and passes the link (plus the
information needed for the download to succeed) to the Kapto app running
locally on your computer at 127.0.0.1. Nothing is sent to any external server.

The free Kapto desktop application must be installed and running. Get it from
