Hi Frazet68! "Completed successfully" but 0MB — that message was deeply misleading. The actual bug is now fixed in version 24.1. Update the extension and it should download with a proper file size. If it works, we'd love an updated review! Used to work well and fast on youtube.
Not any more. 2-09-2026
saved file size is 0 Bytes.
Hi Ron! Worked great before and then suddenly 0 Bytes — that's a frustrating shift. Version 24.1 is now out and fixes the file size issue. Update the extension and it should be back to working well. If it is, we'd love an updated review!

Hey! Version 24.1 is now out and gets it working again. Update the extension and give it another shot — it should be good to go. If it works, an updated review would be awesome! 😊- Оценено на 1 из 5от cant stand those who scam, 10 месяцев назадif it worked and wasnt fake id pay for it, but this is pure nonsense. why bother with an ext that doesnt do anything but use up my space, do not waste your time. this does not work

Hi! We totally understand the frustration — it wasn't working and that's genuinely a waste of space. The good news is version 24.1 is now out and fixes the issue. It actually downloads videos now. Give it another try before uninstalling — we think it's worth it!

I was only able to download four short videos before the extension stopped working. It doesn't work for any videos; it just keeps saying, ‘Generating download link, please wait...’ Removing it and adding it back to Firefox didn't make any difference. Useless!

Hey! Stuck on "Generating download link, please wait..." forever is super frustrating — we know. That loop is fixed in version 24.1. Update the extension and it should generate the link and download properly this time. No need to reinstall! If it works, we'd love an updated review!

EDIT: It doesn't. half the videos I download are "0 bytes" useless. uninstalling.
Also though, it wont try to download if the video was age-restricted. I only wanted the song so I just used an online converter, just something to note.
Hi PseuGi! Half the videos as 0 bytes was frustrating — we get it. Version 24.1 fixes this so downloads should work reliably. On age-restricted videos, those are a separate limitation due to YouTube's restrictions, but regular videos should download fine now. If the update helps, we'd love it if you reconsidered your review!

Hi Poppy! The extension is free and always has been — there's no trial software. If something prompted you for payment, it wasn't from us. Version 24.1 is out now and works without any restrictions. Please update and give it a try! Another paid scam to rake in money, rubbish!
Hi! The extension is completely free — there's no paid element to it. We're sorry it wasn't working, but that was a technical bug, not a paywall. Version 24.1 is now out and fixes the download issues. Give it a try — it's free, always has been!

I downloaded/re-installed Easy Youtube Video Downloader Express Version 21.3 today 16/11/2025 but it still produces the same message as the 2 previous versions - "Generating download link, pls wait..." and fails to generate any link to download a Youtube video.
It also doesn't create a download button as shown on the "How to use" tab.
No options to even specify what quality of video you want to download.
Tried it in a Firefox Private window as well, but still no improvement - just the same message to "pls wait...".
Very disappointing.
Hi HoraceB! Stuck on "Generating download link, pls wait..." even after reinstalling — that was a persistent bug across versions. Version 24.1 addresses this from the ground up. Please update to 24.1 (not just reinstall the old version) and the download button should appear and work properly. Hope this finally sorts it for you! 🙏
