i thought about using this search engine, but they seem to be proudly ai use now, not green.

4 stars only because I don't see anyone else exceeding at what they do, but they can still improve a ton.

I'm still using it with deactivated IA features because idk if there's any better but this is shameful. Just because everyone is doing it doesn't mean you have to. Using generative AI which is harming the planet and spreading misinformation is a big dump on your core values.

Disappointing that they use AI. This browser is supposed to be green, but they use features that actively harms the planet and communities and promotes misinformation.

Removed because of recently added GenAI features. GenAI is killing the planet.

Added AI features that kill the point of using the app.

1 star and uninstalling because AI integration destroys the planet and contradicts the whole point of having this in the first place, also the search database they use got full of ai slop, so even if you disable ai ALOT of the articles you get will also be written by ai and there is no effective way offered to disable or exclude ai articles/sites from search results (except excluding all search items post around 2020 witch is not always convenient or feasible if you are looking for something that needs to be up to date). It is a shame because otherwise a good idea and solid engine, and also personally a shame because now I have to go find a search engine that actually still works like a search engine.

Claims to save the planet but uses generative AI lmaoooo, even if they claim their AI is the most "green" one it doesnt change a thing, ai is still doing incredible damage to the planet even if you hide behind your lies

So, I have a problem with Ecosia honestly not being kept as the default, therefore, lying into a vicious cycle of downloading the extension all over again, I don't know if this is a bug or not.

you also use AI Overview, which I tried to search for the amount of water cooling but found no answer on how much water cooling it requires

At least you are being honest about finance, which the server (operational) costs are in second place according to your finance blog
