The setup process isn't particularly intuitive. For all those having issues, sign into messenger.com in a regular tab FIRST and then you can use the addon. I like it so far but I am not super psyched by how slow it is to load in the toolbar popup. Still, it is convenient for those infrequent times I need to check messages.
