Recon is a free Firefox extension for Counter-Strike 2 players on FACEIT. It brings machine learning win probabilities, deep player stats, and pre accept matchmaking insight directly into the FACEIT match room, so you walk into every veto with a clear picture of which maps favor your team, which opponents are dangerous, and exactly what server and map pool you are about to commit to.

ABOUT RECON

Recon, formerly known as FACEIT CS2 Predictor, is a complete rebrand and a major upgrade of the most widely used FACEIT prediction extension. The core idea is simple. FACEIT shows you almost nothing during the moments that matter most. Recon fills in the gaps. The prediction engine is a state of the art machine learning model, trained and continuously optimized on more than 30 million real FACEIT CS2 matches. Instead of relying on a single Elo number, the model factors in team composition, individual map history, and recent form, producing a separate win probability for both teams on every map in the veto pool.

AI POWERED MAP VETO PREDICTIONS

The moment you load into a match room, Recon calculates a win probability for each map that can appear in your veto, for both teams. The best map for your side and the best map for the opposing side are highlighted automatically, so the choice your captain has to make becomes immediately obvious. Because the model is map specific and form aware, it surfaces edges that a single overall rating will always miss, like a roster that is statistically dominant on Mirage but soft on Anubis, or a team in a clear three day slump on Inferno.

ADVANCED PLAYER STATS FOR EVERY MAP

Recon ships with a full advanced statistics table covering all ten players in the match. For every player on the map you are inspecting, you get Win percentage, K/D, HS percentage, kills, deaths, assists, kills per round, multi kill rates including 3K, 4K and 5K, and average MVPs. The table can be filtered by recent form windows of 3, 7, 10, 14, and 30 days, which makes it trivial to spot a smurf grinding out a fresh account, an enemy AWPer who has been cold all week, or a teammate of yours who is on a clear upswing. This is the same kind of intel pro analysts use, condensed into a single panel inside the match room.

PRE ACCEPT MATCHMAKING INTEL

FACEIT does not normally show you the server location or the map pool of your queued match until after you have already accepted. Recon intercepts the matchmaking response and surfaces both immediately. The instant a match is found, you can see which server regions are in play and which maps are eligible for the veto, so you can make an informed decision before clicking accept. No more loading into a match only to discover a 90 ping server or a map you would have banned on sight.

BUILT AROUND HOW YOU PLAY

Every feature in Recon can be toggled on or off independently from the popup. If you only want predictions, keep the rest off. If you live for the stats table, hide the predictions. The visual side is just as flexible. Recon ships with three handcrafted color palettes called Default, Steel, and Slate, plus a fully custom mode where you can set your own primary, win, and loss colors. The chosen palette is applied consistently across every part of the injected UI, so Recon always feels like it belongs in your FACEIT setup.

PRIVACY FIRST, NO ACCOUNT, NO TRACKING

Recon does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There is no account, no login, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind. The extension communicates only with the prediction backend, and only to retrieve match outcome probabilities for the room you are actively viewing. What you do on FACEIT stays between you and FACEIT.

Recon is built to coexist with the entire ecosystem of popular FACEIT community extensions and enhancers. It is a Manifest V3 extension, fully supported on Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, and other Chromium based browsers, and a Firefox build is also available for users on Mozilla.
