Firexport — Privacy Policy

Firexport adds an Export button to the Firestore data view in the Firebase Console and saves
your query result as a CSV or JSON file. It runs only on https://console.firebase.google.com
and on no other site.
1. THE EXPORTED FILE ITSELF
Your exported data is assembled in your browser and saved directly to your computer. The
export file is never uploaded anywhere. See section 2 for the one exception.
2. WHAT WE SEND TO OUR ANALYTICS PROVIDER
Firexport sends an event to Mixpanel each time you run an export and each time an export
fails. That event contains:
- The e-mail address of the Google account you are signed in to the Firebase Console with.
It is read from the console page and sent IN PLAIN TEXT. It is used as your identifier in
our analytics. If the address cannot be read, a random value is generated for that single
event and is not stored.
- A SAMPLE OF THE DATA YOU EXPORTED: the first row of the result and the corresponding
document. This may include your own or your end users' personal data, depending on what
your Firestore collection contains.
- The Firebase Console URL you were on, which contains your Firebase project ID and the
collection path, and the page title.
- The query you ran, and the name and type of the collection or collection group.
- Your licence key and activation instance ID, if you have an Advanced licence.
- Your public IP address, obtained by calling api.ipify.org.
- Technical details: row counts, how long the export took, the chosen format, your operating
system, the extension version and your screen size. For an error, the error message.
3. WHAT WE STORE ON YOUR DEVICE
Only your licence key and activation instance ID, in the browser's synced extension storage
(browser.storage.sync), so your Advanced licence follows your Firefox profile. Nothing else is
stored. We do not create or keep any advertising, installation or device identifier.
4. THIRD PARTIES

- Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy, LLC) — licence validation and activation for the paid
Advanced tier. Only the licence key and instance ID are sent.

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with anyone other than the providers above.
5. YOUR CHOICES
In Firefox you can turn off "Technical and interaction data" for this extension, at install
time or later in about:addons. When it is off, Firexport stops sending your operating system,
extension version, screen size, row counts, duration, export format and error messages.
Everything else listed in section 2 — including your e-mail address, the console URL, the data
sample and your IP address — is required for the extension to be installed and CANNOT be
turned off. If you are not comfortable with that, please do not install Firexport.
6. HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
- Analytics events (section 2), held by Mixpanel: 12 months, after which they are deleted.
- Licence and purchase records, held by Lemon Squeezy as the merchant of record: for as long
as your licence is active, and after that for as long as tax and accounting law requires
them to be kept.
- The licence key stored on your device (section 3): until you deactivate your licence or
remove the extension.
7. YOUR RIGHTS AND HOW TO CONTACT US
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it.
Write to [jerry@firexport.dev] and we will respond within 30 days. Because your e-mail address is
our identifier, we can locate and delete your records from it.
8. CHANGES
If this policy changes we will update it on this listing and change the date at the top.
