finally got it working..


FrankerFaceZ is working on Twitch. However, Chrome and Firefox are very slow at approving updates you may need to switch to the user-script version of FrankerFaceZ if you are affected. To do so:

Disable the FFZ browser extension.

Ensure you have a userscript manager installed, such as Violentmonkey or Tampermonkey.

Visit FrankerFaceZ's website, and under the install button click Other Browsers, and then Userscript.

Install the userscript when your userscript manage prompts you to.

This will ensure you receive FFZ updates immediately when they're released. Your settings transfer freely between the userscript and the browser extension.

This worked for me.

For anyone wondering how to fix compressor issues as Mozilla isn't approving updates: google "Recent FrankerFaceZ Issues with Firefox #1644" (no urls allowed in reviews)

Works again thanks to Mozilla finally approving the update.

When the add-on isn't working, I just disable it and switch to the userscript given on the official website (when we select Other browsers)

Having issues with the extension here on Firefox right now - for the first time in probably a couple years. Normally, though, It Just Works.
I see now I've taken it for granted, and forgotten how much it enhances Twitch.

FFZ is a great extension. I love the emotes and the customization features.

I am glad to find an answer to the state of the issues here in the reviews, and I look forward to the update's approval. Thank you FFZ developers.

Great extension but on GitHub they explain how it has been caught between Twitch making changes and Mozilla taking too long to approve updates here SO THIS VERSION IS CURRENTLY BROKEN.

The "fix" is to install the Violentmonkey extension, go to the FFZ site, below the Download button click "Other Browsers" then "User Script" then Install. You can then remove the original extension and for me it kept all my existing settings.

Ever since I've had to re-add the add-on it doesn't work. Even after removing and adding it again. Repeatedly.

EDIT: The issue has since been resolved. I also appreciate the feedback.

I was going, where's the audio compressor gone.. Then I saw it had been removed. But I added back after I saw their was some problems. 👍 All good now.

For people also encountering the verification error, remove the existing version and re-add the extension here. You can also check out the GitHub issue for further information about why it happened and alternatives. The GitHub URL pathname to that is /FrankerFaceZ/FrankerFaceZ/issues/1644

If you use twitch regularly or even occasionally, this is a must have add-on!

The best and only needed Twitch extension. So many settings, so many ways to customise, shows all emotes of other extensions, lets you hide nonsense you don't want to see, fully revamp things, it's the best <3

EDIT: clearing twitch cache makes the extension work again.
