Image Downloader finds the images on the page you are viewing — including lazy-loaded images, srcset sources, CSS backgrounds, posters, and iframe content — and lets you download them individually, by selection, or as a ZIP archive.

Capture mode is what sets it apart. Instead of requesting an image a second time, it keeps a copy as the page loads it. Sites that serve images through short-lived signed links, where a download started even a minute later may fail, become reliable. You can enable it for a list of sites or for a single tab from the toolbar. A counter shows how many images are currently held and how much memory they use.

Also included:

• Renaming inside the archive, numbered by position so that a missing image leaves a visible gap instead of silently shifting the rest
• Ignore lists by filename, either global or specific to one site, with a hide button on every detected image
• An optional random delay between downloads and a per-domain rate limit
• Settings that follow your Firefox account through Sync, plus export and import as a JSON file
• Interface available in English and French
