1. New feature, scraper-friendly cards

The reported problem: generic DOM scrapers make one column per repeated sibling, so each .nizviewer-tech-pill became its own column. No scraper setting fixes that, the DOM had to change.

New scraperMode preference, toggled under Scraping in the popup, default off.
When on, the pill layout is replaced by one element per field: the whole grouped stack lands in a single cell (Languages: JavaScript, TypeScript | Frontend: React, HTML).
Every enabled field renders on every card, empty ones included, so columns line up across rows.
Field labels are CSS ::before content, announced by screen readers, absent from innerText, so the scraped value is bare.
Stable per-field classes (.nizviewer-x-posted, .nizviewer-x-techstack, …) and data-niz-field attributes.

1. Bug fixes

In my own new code, .replace(/s+/g, ' ') instead of /\s+/g, so any value containing the letter "s" was mangled (Associate's → A ociate'). My first browser test missed it because the harness retyped the function; the second one extracts sources from content.js directly.

Pre-existing, same flow:

Age Limit and Gender never reached the CSV or clipboard, despite being toggleable, cached, and shown on cards, getExportColumns and getJobRecord both omitted them.
exportVisibleJobs revoked its blob URL in the same tick as .click() and left the anchor detached, which can cancel the download.

1. Refactor, one source of truth

The scrape block originally had its own field list, which diverged three ways: it ignored per-field preferences, dropped Email subject, and parsed dates with a blind slice(0,10) instead of the guarded parse. Extracted cleanField, formatPostedIso, jobUrlFor, and getEntryFields; both the CSV export and the scrape block now derive from getExportColumns(). Adding a field to the export adds it to the scraper block automatically.

1. Polish in the same area

Scrape block picked up the density-detailed and max-width: 560px single-column rules the pill layout already had; fixed a dead full-width selector.
"Not detected" note and source disclaimer restored in scraper mode, both single stable elements.
Expand toggle removed in scraper mode, where it was a no-op.
Empty placeholder rows hidden from assistive technology, verified against the accessibility tree.

1. Housekeeping

Prettier pass committed separately (846c73b) so the feature diff stayed readable.
README feature line, popup help text.
Version 1.6.0 across package.json / manifest.json / popup.html, release notes, tag, and a GitHub release with both browser zips.

Fixed the conditional card coloring issue.
Root cause: Indeed places the visible card content inside nested white surfaces, so the color was applied behind the card.
Changes:
- Applies the selected color to both detected card wrappers.
- Makes Indeed’s nested card surfaces transparent so the color fills the visible card.
- Preserves action controls and NizViewer badges.
- Removes color state cleanly when rules are disabled or the extension is turned off.
- Lint and extension validation pass with zero errors.

Replaced the color picker with an editable hex field.
- Supports values such as #eaf8f1, including 3-, 4-, 6-, and 8-digit CSS hex formats.
- Invalid values safely fall back to #eaf8f1.

Changes:
- Added up to 12 configurable conditional card-color rules.
- Supports posting age and experience conditions with <, ≤, >, ≥, and equals operators.
- Accepts validated hex colors; invalid stored rules are safely normalized.
- First matching color rule wins.
- Added configurable experience filtering to hide roles above a selected years threshold.
- Correctly handles experience ranges such as 8–10 yrs.
- Unknown or missing experience data remains visible.
- Added toolbar recovery controls for temporarily hidden roles.
- Added preference persistence and reset support.

Fixed:
- Phone detection from full descriptions.
- Email detection with optional subject extraction.
- Phone and email actions on cards.
- tel: and mailto: links with event isolation from Indeed card navigation.
- Application contacts in copied/exported data.
- Cache refresh via detail scan version 4.
- Page-hook payload handling, so contacts are captured even before direct detail fetching completes.
- False-positive protection for salary, commission, payment, target, and date values.

Removed the Compare feature completely.

Original Indeed job title, company, and location now remain at the top of each card.

This release makes Indeed job research more reliable, scannable, and easier to understand across landing pages, search results, and direct view-job pages.
