It's trash.

why is it crashing after i get the file download when it goes to adp a file. it says cant get info did google find a way to block you.

Total piece of crap.
The "Video DownloadHelper" is only a way to make you download a separate stand alone executable which noone knows what it really does.
Firefox shouldnt allow "Video DownloadHelper" as an add-on because its NOT an ad-on since it relies not in Firefox itself but in other dark programs.
Shame on you Firefox for tricking users.

"Just install additional app". Really? No, thanks.

Does not catch anything from FranceTV (listed under "supported websites") beside an ever-expanding list of 20~700 kB MP4 files, all of which are unreadable.

Not working as well as before. Now tries to trick you into upgrading for $$ to get full functions.

I downloaded & installed but cannot find the DWH icon

WARNING!!! DO NOT INSTALL THIS EXTENSION!
It's an adware, quite propably dangerous. Every time I try to use it, it tries to redirect me to another website to download a "companion app" to execute the task the extension was supposed to do.
I've already reported it to Mozilla.

It does the job of downloading the video but it adds an horrendous qr code. Good bye trashy addon

Videos are being marked with a QR code

Malware: This demo of a bad commercial product installs dangerous software which hides and actively avoids uninstall. The "captured" videos are of very bad quality and are covered by a big black box (0% transparent, so calling it a "watermark" is just another lie from this scammer named "mig").

Works, but overlays a huge QR code on the video unless you pay their ransom of $29...no thanks.

dog shit app. Need to pay now extortionary bullshit

Просит установить самостоятельное приложение, что просто недопустимо с точки зрения элементарной безопасности.

Gratis??? Non proprio visto che una volta istallato e scaricato il primo video, chiedono di pagare un abbonamento per rimuovere un fastidioso ed enorme QR sul video grabbato...laciate perdere c'è di meglio sul web!!!

This used to be a really good add-on and it just worked. Not anymore. Too many annoying hoops to jump through, apparently including a paywall to remove watermarks. Use at your own risk.

You are required to install a third party application onto your computer to actually download Youtube videos.

Not sure why this is even necessary since there are other extensions that will still allow you to download Youtube videos for free that work just fine.

I do not think this deserves to be a recommend app because the third party app has not been verified
