But, as others have reported, many websites experience a lot of latency and Firefox suddenly needs a lot of GPU power, even if the plugin is not activated for that website.

However, it's not very good at detecting when sites have their own dark mode, so you have to manually disable it sometimes. Also, sometimes it doesn't properly invert some things and you'll have to change the filter mode or disable it for that site. But having dark mode for everything is worth the small bugs

- Betygsatt 5 av 5av ed, för 2 år sedanI do recommend this addon; in general it works extremely well though there are a very few minor circumstances where it will obscure web page content. For example, at the time of this writing, if you open a review page on Etsy, it will show all reviews as 5-star but if you turn the reader off, it can be seen that it had simply changed all the stars in the same way. So sometimes I have to turn Dark Reader off, but very rarely.
