1. INTRODUCTION

This Privacy Policy describes how Feedough ("we", "us", "our") collects,
uses, and protects information when you use the AI Prompt Generator &
Optimizer browser extension ("the Extension"). By installing and using the
Extension, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. WHAT DATA WE COLLECT

2.1 Account Data (collected when you register)
• Full name
• Email address
• Hashed password (never stored or transmitted in plain text)
• Account creation timestamp

This data is stored securely in Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL databases
on AWS infrastructure. It is used solely to authenticate you and
associate your usage quota with your account.

2.2 Session Data (stored locally on your device)
• Authentication tokens (access token and refresh token)
• Token expiry timestamps
• Your email address (for display in the extension UI)

This data is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage
(browser.storage.local) and never transmitted except when refreshing
your session with Supabase servers.

2.3 Usage Data (stored on our servers)
• Count of daily optimization requests (a number only)
• Your account ID linked to the count

We track how many prompts you optimize per day to enforce the daily
usage limit. We do NOT store the content of any prompt you optimize.

2.4 Saved Prompts (stored locally on your device)
• Prompt templates you choose to save via the "Save" button
• Associated shortcut keywords you define
• Usage count per saved prompt (how many times you used it)

All saved prompts are stored only in your local browser storage. They
are never uploaded to our servers.

2.5 Newsletter Consent (optional, only if you opt in)
• Name and email address sent to our newsletter service

This only happens if you explicitly check the newsletter checkbox
during account creation. It is entirely optional and unrelated to
the core extension functionality.

1. WHAT DATA WE PROCESS BUT DO NOT STORE

When you click "Optimize", the text currently in the AI chat input box
is transmitted over HTTPS to our backend API, which uses OpenAI's
GPT-4o-mini model to rewrite it. This prompt text is:

• Transmitted securely over HTTPS
• Processed in memory and returned to the Extension
• Immediately discarded — not logged, not stored, not retained

Feedough keeps NO record of the content of any prompt you optimize.
OpenAI processes the text under their own API terms and privacy policy.

1. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

4.1 Supabase (https://supabase.com)
Purpose: User authentication and account data storage
Data shared: Name, email, hashed password, session tokens

Purpose: AI-powered prompt optimization
Data shared: The prompt text you choose to optimize (discarded after)

4.3 Google (https://google.com) — only if using Google sign-in
Purpose: OAuth authentication
Data shared: OAuth tokens exchanged via browser.identity API

4.4 Feedough Newsletter Service — only if you opt in
Purpose: Sending product updates and tips by email
Data shared: Name and email address
You can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email.

1. WHERE THE EXTENSION OPERATES

The Extension injects a button into the following websites only:
• chatgpt.com / chat.openai.com
• claude.ai
• gemini.google.com
• chat.deepseek.com
• www.kimi.com

The Extension does NOT operate on any other website. It does NOT
collect browsing history, track navigation, or read page content
outside of the prompt input field on the above platforms.

• We do not collect browsing history
• We do not track pages you visit
• We do not read any content outside the prompt input field
• We do not use advertising trackers or analytics SDKs
• We do not sell your data to any third party
• We do not share your data for advertising purposes
• We do not store the prompts you optimize

1. DATA RETENTION

• Account data: retained until you delete your account
• Session tokens: stored locally; cleared on sign-out
• Usage counts: reset daily; not retained historically
• Saved prompts: stored locally; cleared if you uninstall the Extension

1. SECURITY

All data transmissions between the Extension and our servers use
HTTPS/TLS encryption. Passwords are hashed before storage and never
transmitted in plain text. Session tokens are stored locally and
refreshed automatically using secure token rotation.
