BEAM Bridge Extension Privacy Notice
Last revised: July 9, 2026
This notice describes how the BEAM Bridge browser extension collects and uses information. It supplements our main Privacy Policy, which governs the BEAM Service in full and applies to any data described here once it reaches BEAM. This notice only covers what is specific to the extension; please read the two together for full coverage.
What the extension does
BEAM Bridge lets you apply stream title, category, and game updates from your BEAM account to the third-party streaming platforms you are already signed in to in the same browser. It acts on your behalf, using your existing sessions on those platforms — it does not ask for, or store, your platform passwords.
Information the extension accesses on your device
Existing platform sessions. For the streaming platforms you connect — currently Steam, YouTube, Trovo, TwitCasting, NimoTV, Odysee, Picarto, Rumble, and Pilled — the extension reads your existing login cookies or session tokens. This is done locally and only to authenticate requests to that same platform on your behalf. Your platform credentials, cookies, and stream keys are not sent to BEAM and are not shared with any party other than the platform they belong to.
Limited page data on those platforms (such as a security token or a channel identifier) that the platform's own update endpoint requires to carry out an action you requested.
Messages with beamstream.gg to link this browser to your account and receive the commands you initiate.
Information the extension sends to BEAM
a random per-installation identifier and a derived, non-reversible session hash, used only to recognize this browser as one of your devices;
a device label (your browser and operating system, e.g. "Chrome on Windows"), which you can rename;
the extension version;
for each platform you connect: whether you are signed in, your public identifiers on that platform (such as username, account or channel ID, and profile URL), and which update types it supports;
the outcome of the update commands you run.
Stream keys
The extension can read a platform's stream key only after you explicitly confirm the specific request inside the extension, and it returns that key to BEAM solely to enable multistreaming. A stream key is never read or shared without your per-request confirmation.
Local storage and removal
The identifiers, session token, device label, and a cached snapshot of your connection status are stored locally in your browser. They are removed when you sign this device out in BEAM or uninstall the extension.
Browser permissions
The permissions the extension requests — local storage, alarms, cookie and host access to the platforms listed above and to beamstream.gg, and the ability to run scripts in and query your tabs — are used only to provide the features described here. The extension does not track your browsing history or your activity on any site other than those listed.
How this information is handled
Information the extension sends to BEAM is processed under our main Privacy Policy, including the sections on retention, transfers, and your rights (GDPR/CCPA) and how to exercise them. We do not sell your information and do not use it for advertising.
