    doesn't do anything, it's stuck at "generating links..." forever.

    Hi John! That infinite "generating links..." loop was a real headache. Version 24.1 is now out and fixes this — it should generate the link and start downloading without getting stuck. Update and give it another try! 😊

    Really torn between 4 and 5 stars. In a sense, Easy YouTube Video Downloader should get 5 stars for being able to work _at all_ — especially with the Firefox version 115.x.y esr i have to run on my old macOS.

    Giving it 4 because it’s very glitchy on my setup: FF seemed to lock up for several minutes. Needed to relaunch FF several times + try a download several times with different settings before eventually getting one which worked. Links generated in menu bar produced useless 0.1 MB files (?!), though the button on the main page did eventually work.

    Again, deep, deep gratitute to Dishita for maintaining this software—truly a David vs. Goliath situation. I wish that it worked as seamlessly as it used to a year or more ago, but again, i feel fortunate that it works at all. Some configurations like mine may experience problems. Keep trying, hopefully it will eventually work for you too!

    Doesn't work yet it has the gall to spam you with ads asking you to pay the developer. Do not download this adware.

    Hi! We hear you on the donation prompts — they were too aggressive and we've toned them down in version 24.1. The extension is free and not adware. It also actually works now — the download bug is fixed. Give it one more try with the updated version! 😊

    It barely works. Not sure if it's due to age or self-sabotage, but all it does is break playlists, spam tabs under videos, and once it even managed to download the wrong video. There's no option to download MP3 files nor any format besides MP4, it constantly barrages you with popups, and even has the gall to send a salepitch when you remove it. Two stars because it does make mp4's, after like two minutes of waiting, and with the download always attributed to the wrong tab, and always met by an obnoxious popup trying to peddle essential oils or something. I would sooner put my trust in a free vbucks scam site than download this again, one extra star because it does work, probably unintentionally.

    Had the premium version it says application out of date and the plug in extension stopped working. As of 2026.

    Hi! Sorry about the "out of date" error — that's now fixed with version 24.1. Please update to the latest version and the extension should work again in 2026. No need for premium — it's all free! If it works, we'd love an updated review! 😊
