Privacy Policy — Nemos: Save Anything (Browser Extension)
Effective date: June 11, 2026
## The short version
Nemos: Save Anything saves the web pages you choose into your own
private
iCloud account. The developer (brainchild co.) runs no servers
that store your
content, collects no analytics, shows no ads, and never sells or
shares your
data. Everything the extension keeps stays either on your device or
in your
personal iCloud.
## What the extension does
When you click save, the extension captures the current page — its
title, URL,
preview image, and (for "Save as Article") a clean copy of the
article text —
and writes it to your private iCloud database using Apple's
CloudKit Web
Services. You organize these saves into folders, notes, and tags.
## Data the extension handles, and where it goes
- Pages you save (title, URL, article text, metadata): sent
directly from
your browser to your own iCloud via Apple CloudKit. We never
receive a
copy.
- Your iCloud sign-in: you sign in with your Apple ID on Apple's
own
sign-in page. The extension never sees your Apple password. It
stores the
resulting iCloud session token on your device and uses it to talk
to your
iCloud. The token is removed when you sign out.
- Link previews: to show a preview image for a saved page, the
extension may
request that page to read its public preview metadata (Open Graph
image,
title). This is a normal request to the website you saved.
- Site icons: when a saved site does not provide its own icon,
the extension
displays an icon from Google's public favicon service
(google.com/s2/favicons). In that case Google may receive the
saved site's
domain name. No other information is sent to Google.
- Local settings: your theme preference, a cache of your folder
list, and
local rate-limit counters are stored in the browser on your device
and never
transmitted.
## What we do NOT do
- We do not run servers that receive or store your saved
content.
- We do not use analytics, tracking, advertising, or
fingerprinting.
- We do not send crash or telemetry reports.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone.
- We do not read or collect data from pages you do not
explicitly save.
## Permissions
- activeTab / scripting — read the page you're saving and run
the article
extractor, only when you click save.
- storage — keep your iCloud token, preferences, and folder
cache on your
device.
- tabs — complete Apple sign-in (detect and close the sign-in
callback tab)
and open the library page.
- contextMenus — add a "Save to Nemos" right-click item.
- sidebar — show your saved library in the browser sidebar.
- Host access — run the save extractor on the page you choose to
save (any
site) and reach Apple CloudKit (api.apple-cloudkit.com), which
is your
storage backend.
## Third parties
- Apple (iCloud / CloudKit) stores your saved content in your
personal
account and handles your sign-in. See Apple's Privacy Policy at
apple.com/legal/privacy.
- Google favicon service may receive a saved site's domain when
displaying a
fallback icon, as described above.
## Data retention and deletion
Your saves live in your iCloud and are controlled by you — delete
them in the
Nemos app or from your iCloud at any time. Signing out of the
extension removes
the stored session token from your device. Uninstalling the
extension removes
all of its local data.
## Children
The extension is not directed to children under 13 and does not
knowingly
collect data from them.
## Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected here
with a new
effective date.
